must-have ! Vintage MCM Philco Tube Portable Radio - Works!

The Mid Century Philco portable gold colored vintage radio (Model H691) was manufactured in the United States in 1960.

Philco's only tube-type portable radio for the 1960 season uses four tubes plus a selenium rectifier, and can operate on AC or DC current or on battery power.
The AM ferrite rod antenna is built into the handle, which may be rotated for top reception.

While the radio is functional and picks up radio stations, it has a humming/buzzing noise in the background. Plastic carry handle on top is broken (see picture) but doesn’t affect functionality.
